The amount of mental illness intervention is off the charts. There’s a lot of untreated mental illness out there and the majority of family members don’t know how to deal with it. As for the homelessness it looks like like a 3rd world county in downtown LA and the sanctuary laws of this state really hinder any meaningful progress on getting these ppl legitimate help. It’s all to fuel both the mental illness and homelessness industrial complex.
We’re definitely seeing the uptick in mental health problems, but not the homelessness. Not yet. I hope the people in charge can slap the sides of their own heads a few times and address the problem, but I’m not confident.
